It is not only the skin that can be harmed by UV-rays, but your sight can also be diminished. If your eyes are exposed to the sun, long and intensive radiation can lead to an infection of your eyes’ conjunctiva or cornea. That is why it is so important to use sunglasses and eyewear with UV-protection. Our lenses all ensure you 100% UVA/UVB protection, assuring you protection from harmful rays that can lead to permanent eye damage.
Wiley X lenses are equipped with our advanced T-Shell™ scratch-resistant coating, designed to shield the lenses from wear and tear, ensuring they last longer. With Wiley X, you benefit from premium polycarbonate lenses enhanced by this state-of-the-art protective layer, guaranteeing exceptional durability and performance.
Our interchangeable lens system offers outstanding protection and clarity, no matter the setting. Effortlessly switch between lenses or shields to suit varying light conditions, ensuring you're always prepared for any environment you explore.
Every pair of Wiley X eyewear is crafted with shatterproof Selenite™ polycarbonate lenses. Renowned for their exceptional strength and durability, this material allows us to perform rigorous testing to meet the highest optical safety standards, ensuring you receive lenses that provide unmatched protection.
Triloid™ Nylon is the toughest non-metal material on the market, offering exceptional strength without compromising on lightweight comfort. This highly durable material is a key factor in enabling WX eyewear to pass the rigorous safety tests required for certification. Though it may feel light and plastic-like, Triloid™ Nylon delivers superior quality and unmatched resilience.
The adjustable nose piece ensures a customised fit that adapts seamlessly to any face or nose bridge, providing secure, slip-free, and comfortable wear. This versatile feature can be tailored to suit your unique facial structure and is also designed to accommodate a prescription insert if required.
Wiley X eyewear is designed to accommodate prescription lenses, tailored to your optical needs. Simply contact a certified Wiley X optician near you, and they will help customise your eyewear with prescription lenses. Depending on the model, these can either be integrated directly into the lenses or fitted using a prescription insert.

The base curve of a lens refers to its curvature, determining how much the frame wraps around your face. A higher base curve means a greater curvature. Wiley X eyewear typically features base curve six or eight, with some models falling between or below these values.
Choosing the right eyewear can be challenging, but knowing your head size simplifies the process. To determine your head size, measure the circumference of your head using a tape measure. Once you have the measurement, compare it to the sizing chart above.
For example, a head circumference of 58 cm indicates a large head size, meaning you’ll fit all models designed for this range. Many models accommodate multiple sizes, such as M-L, making them suitable for medium and large head sizes alike.
The frame width is the distance between the frame’s ends, including the hinges. For the best fit and aesthetic, the frame width should align closely with the width of your face. A frame that is too wide may appear oversized and could slip, potentially distorting your view. Conversely, a narrow frame may feel tight, pressing on your temples and causing discomfort or headaches.
Temple length, or arm length, plays a key role in ensuring a secure fit. Measured from the hinge screw to the temple tip (including any bends), the length should suit your face. Arms that are too long can cause the eyewear to slide off, while shorter arms may exert pressure on your temples, ears, or nose, resulting in discomfort.

ANSI Z87.1 certification signifies that the frame and lenses meet or exceed the stringent safety standards set by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), which establishes guidelines for protective eyewear in the United States. As an American brand, Wiley X ensures its eyewear passes these rigorous tests.
These tests ensure maximum safety and durability for the wearer in demanding conditions.
Wiley X eyewear is tested to meet or exceed the MIL-PRF-32432(GL) ballistic standards, the official benchmark for military eyewear and goggles in the United States.
To ensure superior protection, the frames and lenses undergo rigorous testing to withstand a .15 calibre projectile travelling at speeds of 702–724 km/h. This certification guarantees that Wiley X ballistic eyewear provides the highest level of protection against ballistic fragments, trusted by armed forces worldwide.
EN.166F certification ensures that the eyewear meets the low-energy impact standard, a critical benchmark for performance sunglasses and protective eyewear.
During testing, the frame and lens must withstand the impact of a 6 mm steel ball weighing 0.86 grams, dropped from a height of 1.3 meters at a speed of 162 km/h. To pass, the lens must remain securely in the frame without shattering.
This certification is a testament to the exceptional quality and protection of Wiley X eyewear, offering the same trusted performance demanded by soldiers worldwide.
